As I am doing my morning’s devotion, having read a particular chapter, I will in a moment share with you, I am being tasked to write something which will definitely cause concern, disappointment, and perhaps anger from those of you, my friends, who are members of these churches who congregate on Sunday. No doubt, probably the numbers of my friends will start to decline and some may even have a parting remark, but nonetheless, it is truth and it can never be said, I didn’t do what I was told to do, and you haven’t been warned, and your fate rests with the continued resistance to truth, which can only result in eternal damnation!
This is the quotation, taken from a chapter, which has given me the inspiration to write this piece:
“I saw that since the second angel proclaimed the fall of the churches, they have been growing more and more corrupt. They bear the name of being Christ’s followers; yet it is impossible to distinguish them from the world. Ministers take their texts from the Word of God, but preach smooth things. To this the natural heart feels no objection. It is only the spirit and power of the truth and the salvation of Christ that are hateful to the carnal heart. There is nothing in the popular ministry that stirs the wrath of Satan, makes the sinner tremble, or applies to the heart and conscience the fearful realities of a judgment soon to come. Wicked men are generally pleased with a form of piety without true godliness, and they will aid and support such a religion.” – Early Writings, page 273, (1857)
For many of you, you have no idea what is meant by “second angel”. You don’t bother to read, and if you did, understand the Book of Revelation. So, allow me to give you some background information which you can look up, digest and make your decision afterward for what you will be made aware will require you to do just that. Make a decision whether you will follow God, through Christ, or not.
Obviously, before you can have a “second angel”, there must be a “first angel”. This first angel’s message,
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Rev 14:6-7 (KJV)
Now, let me make a distinction here. Notice the word John used, “another angel”? John had been seeing angels all throughout his vision(s) on the Island of Patmos. However, in this vision, he is seeing “another” angel, separate and distinct from the other angels because this angel, read after the comma, had “…the everlasting gospel…” All previous angels, he saw, shared with him many things, but this is where the “everlasting gospel” was being presented. What was the message?
Now see, many of you might have a problem right here because you’re believing the “Gospel of Christ” is the “only” Gospel there is, but God has dispatched His angels to give our world a “Gospel”, too!
“Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”
The phrase, “…for the hour of His judgment is come…” was a message which began in 1843, later concluded in 1844. It was believed, by a gentleman by the name of William Miller, a Baptist preacher, who had studied the Scriptures became convinced God was going return to “cleanse the sanctuary”, in 1843 when he studied the prophecy of Daniel 8:14. You see, he believed “judgment” meant the second coming of Christ, in which the sanctuary (earth) would be cleansed, as we know, by fire. When Christ did not return on the two dates specified, the period called, “The Great Disappointment”, Mr. Miller went back and restudied the Scriptures to see where his error was and later learned, through Inspiration, Christ did move, but into the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary to fulfill the role of High Priest, typically as the High Priest did, once a year, in the earthly sanctuary on the Day of Atonement. The experience is recorded in Revelation 10:8-11. The experience was “sweet” in the mouth, but “bitter” in the belly.
Many followers of Miller, known as Millerites became so disappointment, they left the movement and returned to their churches, in shame. However, a small company who remained, known as Adventists continued to receive understanding regarding the Sanctuary and were given the “Third Angel’s Message”. However, before I share this angel’s message, let me share the second angel’s message.
“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Rev 14:8 (KJV)
Those churches who existed during this time refused to hear Mr. Miller’s message, (first angel’s message) regarding “judgment” believing it was a future time event and would not occur in 1844, closed their door to the succeeding angel’s messages, which was,
“…Babylon is fallen, is fallen…she (church) made all nations drink of the wine (false doctrine) of her fornication (apostasy)…”
These churches, in fact, ALL churches except for the Seventh Day Baptist, continued meeting on Sunday and when this group of Adventist was given the “Third Angel’s Message” in 1846, this is what caused a further separation within the small group of Adventist. This angel’s message was,
“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Rev 14:9-12 (KJV)
Ahhhh, you are of course familiar with the words, “mark of the beast” but may not know what it meant, until now. The message in 1846 was given clearly to “keep the commandments of God” which most were not doing until the message was given. You see, all churches “thought” they were either keeping God’s Commandments or that the Commandments of God were done away with at the cross. However, the last message of these three angels made it specifically clear, they were not, and needed to be kept in order to be saved. And the one Commandment which had been changed by the so-called, “Mother Church” the Roman Catholic Church, was the Sabbath, from Saturday to Sunday worship, which those nominal churches, where you attend, became “drunk” in keeping the false doctrine! Most of you are still “drunk” with the false doctrine.
And this is where the quotation given in the beginning of this post was given. It was written in 1857 and still applicable to us today. It is through Sunday churches where homosexual men, and women, are ordained in ministry and some even pastor churches. Where women became ordained and began pastoring. It is through Sunday churches where a spirit of fanaticism, often called the “Holy Spirit” which have people flipping on the floor, speaking in nonsensical tongues, dancing, so-called, “slain in the spirit”, fake healing, and other such foolishness, which is definitely not of God! This all came through Sunday churches, not those connected with the true Sabbath.
And I’m not through yet, sadly, now we’re beginning to see the same infiltration in the Seventh Day Adventist Church who are wanting to mimic the same thing they see in Sunday churches adopting their music, their style of preaching and teaching, and emotional foot-stepping, but God has a word for them, too! God would not let His people go without warning and so in the 18th chapter of Revelation, God sent another angel,
“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.” Rev 18:1-8 (KJV)
Notice in this part of the Scripture God’s voice is heard saying, “Come out of her, MY people!”
Friends, if you are still here, these are serious times where the devil has infiltrated our churches through customs, traditions and every other thing EXCEPT it being the Word of God and our last warning is about to sound and God is wondering, not that He doesn’t know, but wants you to know, what is it you will do? Will you “come out” and join with those who “keep the Commandments of God” or not?
Make your decision today.
