TWIN INSTITUTIONS: MARRIAGE & SABBATH

How can anyone not see this?  It is very apparent.

God gave to man two distinct and pre-ordained truths before sin ever entered into the world.  Marriage and the Sabbath.

Marriage

“And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Gen 2:21-24 (KJV)

Sabbath

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Gen 2:1-3 (KJV)

Let’s ask the obvious questions:  When God created both of these institutions, was there sin on the planet?  Were there any Jews?  If these two institutions were given, by God, during the first week of creation, and there was no sin, how could either of these institutions be a “shadow” of things to come? If you are married and believe it came from the hand of God in the Garden of Eden and you respect your vows, why is it you cannot do the same with the seventh day Sabbath which was given less than 24 hours after marriage?  How can you hold one holy and the other not?  Two things came from God’s hand, which were holy:  “holy matrimony” and “holy Sabbath day”.  This is what typifies the Kingdom of God and if man had kept both in their proper state, society would have been maintained in the manner which God intended despite sin which would come later.

However, like the mighty twin towers which fell in 2001, the same destruction came upon the pillars of God by the enemy.  First, the Sabbath institution was systematically destroyed.  In fact, many are so confused regarding it when you ask them what day is God’s Sabbath or the seventh day of the week, many will ignorantly say, “Sunday”!  They actually believe it not knowing the truth.  The “great deception” Paul mentions in his writings.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin (pope) be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God (can forgive sin), or that is worshipped (changed Sabbath to Sunday); so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” 2 Thess 2:3-4 (KJV)

Today, the other institution, “marriage”, has come under attack.  With the sweeping and disgusting law regarding homosexuals, which is their business, to be lawfully married has destroyed the second institution of God.  It was bad enough for man to be able to seek and receive a divorce for whatever reason they desired, but when the repulsive ideology of a man seeking “holy matrimony” with another man and forming the marriage bed, having sex with each other, and believing it to be of God, then like the event of 2001, the other tower fell.  What is left?

The destruction of not only society but the entire world which was built upon those principles.  When Christ comes again, and this is not too far away now, both of these institutions will have returned to their purer form for Christ will have married His bride—the Church, and the Sabbath will again return to its glory as before the fall of man.  Begin today to honor both of God’s institutions.
