Jesus said, “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:” Mark 3:29 (KJV)
Of recent, there are many, even Adventists, who now claim the “Holy Spirit” is not an entity of the Godhead but simply a “presence” or “power” or “spirit” of Christ which remains with us upon His leaving the planet. I’m aware Jehovah’s Witnesses believe the Holy Spirit is His “force” which was present upon Creation and today goes about doing the will of God. They, like the Muslims, do not accept the Holy Spirit is real, has a personality and is the “third person” of the Godhead. There seem to be a movement about which claim the “Holy Spirit” being a creation of the Roman Catholic Church also called the, “Trinity”. It is no wonder, to me, those who think in this manner will no doubt have confusion and be lost eternally for harboring such a view.
Jesus’s purpose was to confess His Father and when Jesus left, He promised He would send the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, who would confess Him,
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” John 16:13-14 (KJV)
Therefore, plainly stated by Christ, if it is the purpose of the Holy Spirit to confess Christ and to “guide you” into all truth and you don’t believe the personal pronoun “he”, meaning it is an actual entity which has a purpose, personality and presence, a part of the Godhead, then you also deny being guided into truth, losing your way resulting in having lost your opportunity of salvation the end result eternal damnation! I’m not making this stuff up. It’s what the Bible says.
I like what one woman stated who commented on someone’s post, “I didn’t need the Roman Catholic Church to help me to believe in the “Trinity” because the Bible was proof enough it existed.” I would have to say a big, “Amen” to that. For those who believe there is no “Trinity” and were baptized, you should have stopped the minister when he got the to the statement, “In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, I baptize you…” because for everyone I know who was ever baptized into the Seventh Day Adventist Church had to have heard that phrase, and if you didn’t, then you need to go back to that minister and tell him to get it right or quit working!
When I contemplate the “Trinity” I cannot understand how people cannot believe in it. I can believe and see those who don’t what is happening and I feel sorry for you but please do not try to influence those who are being saved by His power to be like you, lost, because of not believing in His actual work in the lives of those who wish to know truth. I know what He has done for me and is continuing to do.
And, just as I told the woman who is questioning the Holy Spirit’s role in our lives, to “unfriend” herself to save me the effort, I shall tell you, too: If you are one of those who don’t believe in the “Trinity”, don’t even bother to comment to spread your unbelief, just “unfriend” yourself from my list otherwise I’ll be more than glad to delete your comment and your name just as your name is being blotted out of the Heavenly Record.
