As we near the end of this world’s history, we were told to be on the look-out for “false” prophets and teachers and given a test whereby we can determine if they are true or not. In both the Old and New Testament, is established how we will know who they are and might be able to avoid that which could lead us into eternal damnation. Our first method is found in Isa 8:20 (KJV):
“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
God is making it quite clear anyone who claims to be sent of God, if what they say does not conform to two principles: (Ten Commandments) and (the Gospel), to stay away from them. They are false prophets, pastors and teachers. The second test, found in the New Testament:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Gal 5:22-23 (KJV)
Now, it is to be understood, as some would have you believe, these tests were for two periods of God’s Church, one found in the Old Testament (Jewish) and one found in the New Testament (Christian), but that is a false teaching for God has always had only ONE Church. It is ONE Book which man has divided into two parts. In Revelation 2 and 3, we see God’s Church being segmented into 7 parts, or phases. Thankfully, God has a way of making room for those who wish to come into the church to fill the places of those who have chosen to depart.
Today, God’s Church is filled with false prophets and teachers! Consider this strong point: “If your pastor, teacher or leader advocates the attending of church on Sunday when the Law strictly made it clear God’s Holy Sabbath is Saturday, the seventh day of the week, then you are under the teaching of a false prophet or pastor!” One of the first things a “false” pastor or prophet does is to tell you that the “Law of God” is no longer binding upon His people! No doubt they would tell you this because it is that very Law which reveals who they are! They don’t want you to know the Law because if you did they’d lose their ability to make a living by taking advantage of gullible individuals who continue to flock to their pagan services held on Sunday!
While they may demonstrate “fruit of the Spirit”, most of these are demonstrative while in front of the people but not in their personal lives and they’ll love to quote the last part of the verse, “…there is no law.” You see and must understand, the enemy HATES God’s Law and would it not seem reasonable the enemy’s people would learn to “Hate” God’s Law, too! Of course it does and as proof, just watch the crowd follow in their pagan and traditional, for lack of a better word, “mess”, on Sunday.
I know these words are difficult to take especially if you’re one of those “false” pastors. You may liken it to Jesus when He flipped over tables exposing the corruption which sold itself as a part of the religious establishment.
Just consider, today, I’m flipping your table!
