When in my addiction I experienced many a profound time when my senses prompted my worst fears.  I always feared being discovered using by a loved one and I always feared being discovered by the police. I’ll relate one of the more “profound” of times.  I learned and was using for about a year when someone taught me how to smoke the resin left from the first usage of crack cocaine.  Up to this point, I had been throwing it away!  She taught me how to push the stem, to bring, what I thought was waste, to the top of the other end, and burn it.  It would be the most potent.  Part of my enjoyment of the high was the paranoia associated with using it; however, I was not prepared for what would happen.

There was an immediate rush like being sucked into a vacuum.  My hearing became so intense I would often describe it as being able to hear conversations of people flying overhead in commercial jets!  My sight was such where I would see things as if they were occurring.  I could taste whatever my mind imagined and my sense of touch was so affected I could be burning and not feel the effects until many hours later.  Each of my fears were realized on this day.

I heard the sounds of emergency vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances and police with their various sirens blaring.  I heard the voice of my now dearly departed grandmother calling my name, asking me to come out.  I heard the sound of the police coming up the back stairs of the apartment building I found a haven to use and there I was, in a suit normally worn to work, laying on the floor, my hands extended waiting for the cold iron of handcuffs to be placed, and I prayed.  I prayed for forgiveness and the moment would pass without my being hurt.  Eventually, all the evidences of my senses returned to normal.  I sat up amazed I had had my prayers heard and there were no repercussion.  The woman who taught me how to smoke this powerful drug, who allowed me to use her apartment, better termed, “crackhouse” remarked, “That was the most beautiful prayer I have ever heard!”

Such will be the experience many will encounter in the last days when Satan will counterfeit Christ’s return!  Read this quotation taken from The Great Controversy,

“Only those who have been diligent students of the Scriptures and who have received the love of the truth will be shielded from the powerful delusion that takes the world captive. By the Bible testimony these will detect the deceiver in his disguise. To all the testing time will come. By the sifting of temptation the genuine Christian will be revealed. Are the people of God now so firmly established upon His Word that they would not yield to the evidence of their senses? Would they, in such a crisis, cling to the Bible and the Bible only?”

Sin enters our sphere of choice by our senses and too many times we make the wrong choice.  When satan comes disguised as Christ, many of you because of your lack of reading the Bible will be fooled into thinking it is Christ!  It will be something never seen before.  It will have the ability to affect every sense you utilize in order for you to determine what is reality from fantasy and yet so many will fall because of not knowing truth.  Will you be one of them?  Do you know, really know, the Scriptural description of the Second Coming of Christ or will you be mesmerized by the coming of satan?

It is time to know the truth regardless of what your senses and common-sense tells you.
