For the past day or so, this thought keeps echoing in my mind and is settled now, which I need to address, because of the misinterpretation of a text many use to justify their worship experience, in the wrong church.
“And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” John 10:16 (KJV)
According to this text, Jesus is making it fully clear He has other sheep, (people), which are not in the correct church of worship and at some pointed time, they will hear His voice calling them out into the proper fold, (church). Jesus NEVER stated or implied He had “other” folds or churches, for He doesn’t need but one, the true church of God. It is we who get confused or have been deceived, deluded into thinking where we are is okay and good enough as long as we are “serving the Lord”. But, is this actually credible? Nope, it is not.
If God has one true church, then what can we say for any other church? They would have to be “false” church(es). God has given us a standard whereby we can know who the true church is and if you are attending a church which does not measure to the standard, what is the obvious answer regarding your church? It would have to be one of those “false” churches. There can NEVER be one of “those” true churches because there is no plurality in “one”. Either you are in God’s church or you are not. Now, while you may be in the wrong church, which is most likely the case, then at some point in time Holy Spirit will reach your heart and make you to understand your dilemma and you will be required to make an informed decision. Those who fail to do so will be lost no matter where you worship because your worship is vain and not acceptable, no matter your sincerity!
So, for those who are under the misconception as long as you are serving God it does not matter what church you attend, you are deluded. If God specifically states what is His, and where He goes to bless those waiting for Him, where He’s designated, then who are you serving where you attend, because here is a newsflash, God ain’t there! Somebody else who’s setting himself as God, thinking he is God, in the church of God. That’s Bible, by the way. Look it up
So, my advice to you, before it is too late, is to determine where you are and if in fact you are worshipping in God’s true church. God will NEVER call your entire church to come out of the false church, but He will call you, for several times He has called and will call again,
“Come out of her, (false church), My People.”
