BLIND SAW, THOSE WHO SAW BECAME BLIND!

I love this expression of Christ when a particular healing took place:

“And it was the Sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.” John 9:14 (KJV)

I’m sure you’re familiar with the story, but if not, spend a moment and read it.  What you will find is how because of one act of Christ, one man who was blind could see and as a result many who were witnesses of this event, who saw it taking place, and because of the very same mud, became blind!  One was a miracle while the many who were on the opposite side of the spectrum became blind due to their ignorance.

Which are you?

In sharing with a brother a moment ago, he has trouble in seeing Christ being crucified and buried on Friday, sleeping through the Sabbath and waking and resuming work on Sunday, and calling it “three days and nights”.  I’m so thankful I can see it and believe it because my salvation is tied into this event.  Those who cannot see it will later come to question it therefore placing their salvation on shaking ground.

There are many relevant and salvific messages being so openly given in Scripture but many seek for an answer to satisfy their curiosity which just won’t take place.  They’re too busy wanting something which satisfieth but are not able to describe what it is.  I’ve had a similar experience when I have wanted something to eat but am not able to know what it is I want.  If this is taking place in one’s religious life, sadly, there is nothing but trouble and discontent ahead and these small matters will drive one from the presence of Christ.  At least Judas got thirty pieces of silver.  How many of you are selling yourself short?

God has given His last-day remnant church foundational principles to go by.  You don’t have to know them, accept them or believe them, but it doesn’t change what they are.  It is my belief as long as you hang in there, God will work out the kinks in our personality and understanding until they do make sense and we’re able to see how perfectly they’ll work together in getting us across the finish line which will occur AFTER the Time of Trouble.  Those who are not able to resolve within themselves what you believe will come short of the finish.  You’re too busy, like those Pharisees staring at the mud Christ used to cause the blind man to see to become blind themselves because their focus was not in the right place.  Or, you can be assured satan will definitely know how to satisfy you just temporarily enough to cause you to become content but when the time comes to exercise one’s faith, yours will come up short.

As a child, we learned certain formulas which became the basis of our understanding deeper math problems.  It does not impress me when someone is able to recite the Pythagorean Theorem.  What impresses me is when you’re able to understand and prove, simply:  1 plus 1 equals 2!
