I was thinking about this while on my meditative/exercise walk, this morning, how it is NEVER good to be a part of the “religious majority” when dealing with God. Think about this and see if you don’t agree:
- Abraham was told to leave the majority of his people.
- Out of the majority only Noah and his family were spared.
- Out of the majority only Lot and his family came out of the cities.
- Out of the majority of people on the planet, only Israel was chosen.
- The majority of the religious leadership was wrong during Christ’s visit.
- It was the majority of the Jewish people who were destroyed during the destruction of Jerusalem
- And it will be the majority of Christians, today, who will be lost!
So, it seems, the moral of this story is, if you should find yourself with the majority of those who claim to be Christian, you might want to recheck your position!
It seems God deals in “minorities” and calls His people, “remnant”. What is a remnant? A remnant is the “leftover” or “piece” of a whole. Whenever we read about this “remnant” we find them doing what is characteristically what God would have them to do. Consider this verse:
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Rev 12:17 (KJV)
This is for OUR time, right now, today. It’s telling me and should be telling you if you are not keeping with the Commandments of God, and there are only ten of those, then you cannot be the “remnant” mentioned. And, consequently, if you are not a part of the remnant, are you a member of the “majority” which DO NOT KEEP the Commandments of God? What will be the end result of those people?
Bro. John has a word to share. It is found in the last chapter of the Book of Revelations:
“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Rev 22:14 (KJV)
John’s telling us those who “do” God’s Commandments, are blessed. Those who don’t, are not blessed. Those who do have the right to the tree of life, which sustains immortality. Those who don’t are not given this privilege and therefore will die.
This is not complicated, my friends. The majority of you are Sunday worshipers, which means, you CANNOT be in the remnant, which means you will NOT inherit eternal life. You can argue, fuss and fight, but the truth of the matter is, well, the truth. It won’t change no matter how much you want it, believe it or think it.
Keep those Ten Commandments so you can get out from being the majority and become a member of the remnant!
