ARE WE “REALLY” ALL GOD’S CHILDREN?

Having watched a video showing Pope Francis (12:00) announcing “we all God’s children”, and it sounds right, factual and, well, nice.  But, is it true?  I don’t think so.  In fact, it is followed by President Obama (14:40) saying the same thing.  And for many of us misguided believers, we, too, might believe this is truth, but it is not.  Even God has made the distinction between who are His and who are not His.

Ecumenism preaches the same belief.  Keep this in mind, I will get back to this concept.

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers…; (Gen 3:15 KJV)

In the very beginning of this planet’s existence, God made a distinction between those who are His and those who weren’t.  In Genesis 4 and 5, God shows the difference between the “children” of Cain (satan’s) and the “children” of Seth (God’s).  You may “think” they are all God’s children, but God does not see it that way.  We KNOW what happened in Genesis 6.  Later, we find even among Noah’s children, satan would creep into the mix and begin stirring the pot.  There would be a distinction between Abraham’s two sons: Ismael and Isaac.  Who was God’s children and who was not?  It is obvious when God distinctly does not name Ismael as one of the sons of Abraham:

“Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” (Gen. 22:2 KJV)

We know Abraham loved Ismael, but does God?  He already made the distinction between the children.  He continues to do the same between Jacob and Esau, and this continues throughout man’s lineage.  However, let it be known, those who aren’t God’s children have the opportunity to become His children as was shown in:

“In every province and in every city to which the edict of the king came, there was joy and gladness among the Jews, with feasting and celebrating. And many people of other nationalities became Jews because fear of the Jews had seized them.” (Esther 8:17)

Jesus goes on to tell us when He was here there would come a time when He would say, “I never knew you.”  Would God ever say to His children, “I never knew you?”  If He could then are they “God’s children?”  I think not.

Today, there is this language, this word “ecumenism” which many do not fully understand.  It does not only constitute the various groups of Christians coming together, but it includes ALL faiths coming together, under one body of believers.  You will hear it said that all faiths show the diversity of God.  Is this true?  Nope.  God is NOT diverse, but “one” God.  There is only ONE way to become one of God’s children, and those who try to enter another way are called “trespassers”.  The Bible says God’s way, or to become God’s children, it has to be through a strict way and one not so broad, so why is it we want to look at matters from a broader viewpoint, when it is surely not?  What is the criteria which makes one God’s children and those who are not?  It is found:

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the Commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (Rev. 14:11 KJV)

The method of becoming God’s children is clear and it is the same method to distinguish between those who say they are versus those who truly are.  You can give whatever reason you wish to offer, say whatever you wish to say, and do whatever it is you wish to do, but I can offer this absolute truth:  If you are not in keeping with God’s Commandments, and there are ten of them, then you are NOT one of God’s children and this will be shown very soon when Christ shall separate those from the others and believe me, you will want to be among those on the right and literally not “left” behind.

One of the main clues is found in the very first verse we examined.  The word:  “enmity”.  This word is another word for “hatred”.  Those have enmity, or hatred for God’s people are those who resist God’s Law, who hate the fact of being under God’s Law.  Listen to them speak.  They will claim God’s Law was fulfilled, or is a covenant which was done away, or other such nonsense.  People who, on the other hand, love God’s Law, will desire to keep it, uphold it, observe it and preach it.  And while many claim to keep God’s Commandments, they stop when it comes to the Fourth one which requires us to “remember” God’s holy Sabbath day.  And here’s a hint for you:  It is not Sunday!

In conclusions, “yes” we started out as “God’s children” when Adam and Eve were created.  Somewhere we changed this because of a decision.  However, God left an opportunity for us to make another decision to become the “Sons and Daughters” of God once again, so please, don’t reject the opportunity.
